Apollo Nida Gets Massive Restitution Bill: Government Is Asking Bravo To Pay It Due To ‘RHOA’?

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Apollo Nida is currently serving eight years behind bars, and there isn’t much he can do to handle his legal issues. When Apollo was found guilty and sentenced to serve eight years, he was also told that he had to pay the $2 million that he owed in restitution. There have been reports that he can wait to pay it off until years after he is released, but now the government is pushing to get the money.

Even though Apollo Nida can’t do anything while serving his time, there are plenty of things happening in Atlanta. Apparently, the government has tried to get the money from True Entertaining, the production company that is behind The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but that failed.

According to a new Radar Online report, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Apollo Nida may soon lose all ties with Bravo because the government has supposedly asked Bravo to cover the money. In other words, the company that made him famous is now expected to pay Apollo’s legal issues. Surely, Nida isn’t happy about the government approaching Bravo as Apollo may lose all chances of filming with the cable network in the future.

Last week, Bravo Media LLC, which is owned by NBC Universal, was formally served with a notice of wage garnishment order for Apollo. Even though he is legally married to Phaedra Parks, she isn’t being held responsible. Since Nida was fired from Bravo, it is possible that the network could argue that he is no longer an employee, and, therefore, not on the payroll.

If Bravo has everything covered in terms of Nida, then the network has nothing to worry about. But if Bravo still has Apollo Nida on payroll as an employee for participating on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, then the government can go in and demand the money to help pay off the debt. Rumor has it that Bravo fired Nida once he turned himself in to serve his time.

According to the Inquisitr, Apollo Nida can’t do much while he is serving his time, and he is very isolated in jail. Apparently, he has been very withdrawn because he hasn’t been able to see his sons. Parks hasn’t been eager to bring her sons to Kentucky to visit with their father, so Apollo is only talking to them on the phone.

What do you think about Bravo being asked by the government to pay for Apollo Nida’s troubles?
