Woman’s Dunkin Donuts Dare: Eager Dancer Gets Nude, Arrested Over Pledge Dare
One apologetic Florida woman probably wishes she’d never gone to a Dunkin Donuts shop and gotten naked on a dare. West Palm Beach police officers say Shakara Monik Martin was arrested after she was found in front of a Dunkin eatery Sunday. It turns out the aspiring dancer was dared to get nude as part of a pledge ceremony, according to the Palm Beach Post.
In what sounds like a sketch from SNL or the case of a “Truth or Dare” game gone horribly wrong, WPB cops were called to a Dunkin Donuts located in the 2900 block of South Jog Road near Trafalgar Square in the Greenacres area about 9:00 p.m. The original telephone complaint from a caller described a woman on the premises as “completely naked.”

Police arrived at Dunkin a short time later and observed a nude woman on the exterior of the business. One responding officer described the woman as “fully exposed.”
Martin, 32, began apologizing to the officers upon their arrival. The woman said she was given a dare by an unnamed dance troupe. It consisted of getting naked outside the Dunkin Donuts location. Apparently, similar to what pledges experience when entering Greek life at colleges and universities, the woman had to prove her loyalty as part of tradition, a rite of passage.
Apparently, police didn’t accept her “get buck-naked” challenge. The woman was arrested and charged with indecent exposure. Officers tried to offer the woman clothing while still at the Dunkin location, but she refused with all attempts.
Martin was transported to the Palm Beach County Jail early Monday morning and booked on the offense. About an hour later, she was allowed to leave on her own recognizance, likely to face a future court date on the charge.
Last month, another woman was jailed in Florida for showing off her lady parts. Then, a naked woman ran outside and stopped traffic when she mounted a vehicle and started pleasuring herself as motorists looked on in confusion.
Amie Carter, 31, was still naked when police arrived. They struggled with the woman who became violent when officers tried to subdue her. She was arrested for exposing herself in addition to a number of other offenses. The report suggests she was in an “altered state.”
And in yet another incident, a Florida woman was arrested for lewd behavior last September. Police say Karen Marie Dilworth, 50, was jailed for masturbating in public on a motorcycle in the presence of a 13-year-old.
The latest case involving the woman’s Dunkin Donuts dare rounds out goings-on in Florida. Perhaps, the Sunshine State is in need of some cooling down?
