Town Learns Sign Language: Man In Istanbul Brought To Tears By Samsung Campaign, Video Goes Viral

A town learns sign language in order to be able to communicate with a hearing impaired neighbor. According to First Post, the story is part of Samsung’s new campaign featuring a man named Muaharrem from Istanbul. The company arranged for several people to learn sign language, and to surprise Muaharrem, who broke down in tears when he learned what was going on.

“In an attempt to shoot an ad campaign for a call centre for the hearing impaired, Samsung and Leo Burnett conducted month long training sessions for everyone living in the vicinity to learn sign language so they could surprise Muaharrem. They spent a month setting up cameras around vegetable and bagel shops, and taxis.”

The town that learned sign language communicated with Muaharrem, making him feel like he belonged — like his disability didn’t prohibit him from fitting in. According to Sport Act, the video has gone viral, touching hearts around the world. So far, over 3 million people have viewed it.

Viral videos have been quite popular this week. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, a video of a man proposing to his girlfriend every day for 365 days went viral. You can check out that story here.
