Will ‘Bachelor’ Chris Soules Compete On ‘Dancing With The Stars’?

The Bachelor’s Chris Soules will not only be gaining a fiancee but a dance partner as well. According to People, the Bachelor star will be the twelfth contestant on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars with dance pro Witney Carson as his partner. The DWTS cast was announced last month on Good Morning America; however, only eleven celebs were named, leaving the last one a mystery.

The morning of the announcement, DWTS host Tom Bergeron said regarding Witney Carson, “Her partner couldn’t rose — I mean rise so early to be here.”

Now it seems it wasn’t so much a slip of the tongue as it was a hint as to identity of the last cast member referencing the rose ceremonies held on the Bachelor.

E! reports Soules told them at the beginning of the Bachelor he was open to appearing on DWTS.

“At this point, why not? I went through The Bachelorette and never thought I’d do that and did it and it was a great experience. Now being the Bachelor, it’s been an extraordinary experience…I’m open to a lot of opportunities, I’d be willing to consider these sort of things. But I’m going to do what’s best for me and do what’s right and what I feel is right for my future.”

The Bachelor star also said, “I think I need to do some yoga because watching those people and some of the stuff they do. I’m not a very flexible guy, so I am going to need to get limbered up if that’s going to happen!”

TV Guide reports Bachelor host Chris Harrison told them last month, “I don’t see a connection between Chris and rhythm. He is the worst singer, dancer, rapper — he’s so horrible.” Will Carson have her work cut out for her?

If Bachelor Chris Soules is cast on DWTS, he’ll be joining stars Michael Sam, Willow Shields, Patti LaBelle, Riker Lynch, Rumer Willis, Nastia Liukin, Robert Herjavec, Noah Galloway, Charlotte McKinney, LMFAO’s Redfoo, and Suzanne Somers.

Soules wouldn’t be the first Bachelor alumnus to join DWTS. Sean Lowe, Bachelor Jake Pavelka, Bachelorette Trista Sutter, and Bachelor Melissa Rycroft have also made the crossover to the competitive dancing show.

At this time, ABC has not officially listed Bachelor Soules as a cast member on DWTS. It remains to be seen whether he’s been definitely cast and when they’ll make the announcement. TV Guide estimates the announcement will be made after the Bachelor season finale.

According to People, a spokeswoman for ABC has declined to comment. Dancing with the Stars returns March 16 on ABC. The Bachelor season finale airs March 9.
