Live Online Video: Manchester United Vs. Arsenal, Premier League Giants In FA Cup Quarterfinal

Fans can watch a massive Monday night FA Cup showdown in live video online, as Manchester United hosts Arsenal in a quarterfinal match that will see the winner book a trip to Wembley Stadium for the prestigious tournament’s final four.

Or, if the game ends in a tie, the whole contest will be replayed in accordance with FA Cup tradition. But the replay will take place on Arsenal’s home ground, Emirates Stadium in North London, putting additional pressure on United and first-year manager Louis van Gaal to keep the resurgent powerhouse club’s best hope for silverware alive.

Manchester United have not won the FA Cup since 2004, while Arsenal are the defending holders.

Arsenal and Manager Arsene Wenger, are determined to claim their second straight FA Cup and would vastly prefer to punch their ticket to the semifinals at the first opportunity.

A replay of the knockout match could prove a burden on either club, as Manchester United struggle to hold on to their top four Barclays Premier League position, now just two points on top of Liverpool and three up on Tottenham Hotspur with 10 left to play.

In fact, Van Gaal said on Saturday that maintaining a Top Four position — and therefore qualifying for Champions League football next season — must be the top priority for Manchester United. If so, sandwiching the replay match into the Premier League schedule risks stretching the club thin.

“When you win the FA Cup you are not in the Champions League which is important for the club, but you have won a title. So for the players it is fantastic,” Van Gaal told The Daily Mail. “For the manager it is fantastic but our goal is to reach in our first year together a place in the Champions League.”

On Arsenal’s side, the club has a momentous Champions League Round of 16 match looming on March 17, as they travel to Monaco where they must overcome a 3-1 deficit in the second leg of the eliminator.

At the same time, Arsenal has only a slim, one-point edge on Manchester United in the League table, as they cling to what they hope will be their incredible 18th straight Champions League qualification.
