Kendrick Lamar’s Sophomore Album May Break Twitter

After Kendrick Lamar announced the release date of his sophomore album, Twitter jumped into a frenzy. Fans wonder how it will sound.

If you have seen the recent trends on Twitter, Kendrick is among the top. Usually trends only last for so long, however this one has been maintaining momentum for a little while. Lamar’s new album has drawn more anticipation due to the success of his first album. For those who have been following him from the start, Kendrick fans are proud of what he’s accomplished in so little time.

Not only do Lamar’s songs and lyrics resonate with his listeners, but several people appreciate his quotes as well. Kendrick is human, just like the rest of us, which means he deals with everyday problems — just like the rest of us. Now, yes, his money certainly makes it a little bit easier for Lamar to find a solution. Yet, it doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have to deal with problems. He didn’t write “Swimming Pools” for nothing.

In anticipation of his album, during an interview with the Breakfast Club, Kendrick was asked, “How do you know when it’s there, when you’re done [with the album]?”

“When I start tampering with things I shouldn’t be tampering with. Cause, me in the creative space, I’m so much of a thinker. Everything is technical and has to be masterminded to how I hear it and how I should feel. When I’m creating an album, I’m big on that. Not just one song but as a body of work.”

In order to make the type of music Lamar is known for, he says that he’s a perfectionist. And for that, he has to know when to back off. From a musical perspective, that’s understandable. Like Kendrick, you can easily get caught up trying to make things better, when they’re already at their bests.

In accordance, Lamar’s fans are practically ready to burst and their headphones are already on their heads, in wait, as can be seen from the following tweets.
