'General Hospital' has cast Dee Wallace in the role of Pat

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Luke And Bobbie’s Sister Pat Has Been Cast: Who Scored The Role?

Fans of General Hospital have been anxious to see some serious resolution on the current Luke Spencer storyline, and now it seems the show has made a big move to push the story forward. Dee Wallace has reportedly been cast in the role of Patricia Spencer, Luke and Bobbie’s sister.

Soap Opera Digest shares the General Hospital spoiler casting news. Dee Wallace has been in the business for about four decades, and many know her best from her roles in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and Cujo, though she has had dozens of roles in both movies and on television over the years.

Until now, the character of Pat has only been mentioned a few times and not much is known about her. She is said to be the oldest of the three Spencer siblings. While it seems she had been referenced early on in the show many years ago, she didn’t become a more regular topic of conversation until the current Luke storyline went through its latest twists and turns. In February, Luke mentioned Pat and indicated that she might still be alive.

Just how will Pat be brought into the mix of things in Port Charles and how long will she stick around? When will she first appear? All of those details remain unknown at this point though it likely won’t take too long for things to progress.

With the news that Dee Wallace is joining General Hospital in the role of Pat, fans hope that this indicates that the writers are serious about moving the Luke storyline to a better place. The Luke and fake Luke story has gone on for a very long time now, and many fans indicate a desire to wrap things up and move on.

Wallace isn’t the only big name heading to Port Charles this spring. As She Knows Soaps notes, Ilene Kristen popped up on the show this week, briefly reprising the role of Delia. Bradford Anderson recently returned, and viewers also know that Maura West is sticking around in the role of Ava after being presumed dead for a bit.

In addition, All My Children star Rebecca Budig is joining the show, though so far her character and reason for hitting town remain a mystery. While some GH spoiler fans initially thought that Budig might take over an existing character, now buzz seems to be that she’ll play a new, and potentially naughty or deadly, character.

Stay tuned for more General Hospital spoilers as new details emerge about Dee Wallace and Rebecca Budig’s characters. GH airs weekdays on ABC and this spring should be a wild one.
