Spring Break 2015 Dates: Las Vegas Vacation Deals Still The Best Party, Majority Want Peace And Quiet

When it comes to spring break, 2015 finds a Las Vegas vacation on the itinerary for many spring breakers, but despite spring break having a reputation for large wild parties, it turns out the majority of travelers actually desire peace and quiet.

In a related report by the Inquisitr, spring break travel deals are coming and going quickly for 2015. For those wanting a spring break party, keep in mind that you might get caught with your pants down — literally.

If you are planning your spring break 2015 dates, there are multiple websites which provide a full list of colleges and when they let their students out for the week. This is fairly important since Orbitz says “64 percent of travelers purposefully avoid college student destinations and 75 percent of travelers say they would rather go somewhere less popular and avoid the crowds.” If you are among the majority but still want to hit a quiet beach, both San Diego, California, and Clearwater, Florida, are recommended.

“Spring break is the unofficial start to the busy 2015 travel season and nearly three-quarters of Americans are looking to take advantage of that with a trip, according to our survey,” said Jeanenne Tornatore, senior editor for Orbitz. “Getting away from the crowds doesn’t mean travelers have to sacrifice value. Orbitz.com makes it that much easier to find a great deal thanks to a number of promotion codes that make it easy to save.”

The company is also advertising spring break deals for the top 10 sports Americans hope to visit in 2015. Las Vegas has been the number one sport for vacations for multiple years, but recently Honolulu, Hawaii, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, have dropped off the top 10 list, only to be replaced by Playa Del Carmen and Riviera Maya, Mexico.

  1. Las Vegas, Nevada
  2. Cancun, Mexico
  3. Orlando, Florida
  4. Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
  5. New York, NY
  6. New Orleans, Louisiana
  7. Chicago, Illinois
  8. Miami Beach, Florida
  9. Playa Del Carmen, Mexico
  10. Riviera Maya, Mexico

If you book your flight by March 29, 2015, the Orbitz promotion code TAKEABREAK will give you 15 percent off of hotel stays two nights or more. Las Vegas hotels tend to be the cheapest, with an average of $115. Orlando and Chicago are also both less than $200 on average, and the air fare is similarly cheaper in comparison to other spring break 2015 vacation spots.
