WWE News: Stephanie McMahon’s ‘You’re Not Bigger Than WWE’ Promo Was WWE’s Response To Brock Lesnar’s RAW Walkout

This past Monday on RAW, Stephanie McMahon berated John Cena after Cena implied that it would be a mistake if WWE left him off of the WrestleMania card. The promo confused a lot of people, because Stephanie was essentially saying that none of their superstars matter, no one is special and if John Cena left, it wouldn’t make a difference; her reasoning being that WWE doesn’t need him, he needs WWE. Well, apparently Stephanie’s rant on John Cena was written by Vince McMahon himself, and was his way of responding to Brock Lesnar walking out of last Monday’s RAW and showing up at this past Saturday’s UFC 184 event.

Vince McMahon is still furious that Lesnar walked out on him last Monday night, and rumor has it that because Lesnar didn’t make his scheduled appearance last Monday, Vince McMahon is going to try to get one more date out of Lesnar because Lesnar “owes him one.”

Brock Lesnar’s UFC run didn’t last all that long, but while Lesnar was in the UFC, he was — other than Floyd Mayweather — the biggest pay-per-view draw in the world. So it’s safe to say that Lesnar did just fine without WWE, and it’s likely that if he leaves and rejoins the UFC, he’ll still do just fine without WWE.

Before Lesnar walked out last Monday night, WWE officials were confident that Lesnar would re-sign and continue on with WWE. There was even talk of having Lesnar retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. Now, with Lesnar showing up at this past weekend’s UFC event, those same WWE officials aren’t so confident that Lesnar will continue on with the company.

There is some concern that Lesnar will refuse to show up for the rest of his scheduled dates with WWE, and Paul Heyman addressed this during his promo on this past Monday’s RAW, saying that Lesnar “will be at WrestleMania.” Lesnar is scheduled to appear on this coming Monday’s RAW, which takes place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. So if Lesnar refuses to appear there, then WWE will likely rewrite the main-event storyline for WrestleMania, which would likely involve Daniel Bryan facing Roman Reigns for the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Vince McMahon is confident that Lesnar will be at WrestleMania, and has told his creative team to not worry about writing an alternate storyline, saying that if Lesnar doesn’t show up he’ll “sue the s**t” out of him.”
