Pussycat Dolls Still Exist Apparently, Will Debut New Lineup in Super Bowl Ad

Pussycat Dolls Super Bowl Ad Go Daddy

The Pussycat Dolls are still a thing – who knew? Not I, but apparently the group is back with a new lineup, a fresh roster of women who will make their worldwide debut during the Super Bowl.

Well, not the actual Super Bowl, obviously. That’s for proper pop stars like Prince and Michael Jackson. No, the new PCDs will be strutting their stuff in a Go Daddy Super Bowl advert. Close enough.

Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin and a new Doll, Lauren Bennett, chatted to MTV about the ad, and talked us through what we can expect from the refreshed group. Antin described the Go Daddy TV spot as “breathtakingly beautiful,” not words often associated with internet domain registrars and web hosting. She burbled:

“The girls are on the Go Daddy cloud. They’re angels in heaven, and they’re very angelic. It’s a fun, real-campy kind of sexy. It’s all of that, but again, what we’re doing for this next life of the Pussycat Dolls, the girls are all young. It’s a fresh, young energy. I want to appeal to our young fans.”

Fresh. Young. Translation: Nicole Sherzinger is deemed to be past it at 33. Ouch.

Anyway, the new lineup includes the aforementioned Lauren Bennett (from Antin’s other group, Paradiso Girls), Chrystina Sayers (from Girlicious), Vanessa Curry (dunno), Erica Kiehl Jenkins (dunno) and Paula van Oppen (dunno). Says Antin:

“The dancing is spectacular. Everyone is amazing. It’s the exact right recipe for the new Pussycat Dolls. We just did the Go Daddy commercial, Super Bowl spot — really excited about it. It’s sexy and all that. It’s a quick look for people to see the girls together for the first time.”

I expect nothing less than a musical revolution.

The last time that I looked, Nicole wasn't exactly chopped liver…

  2. No, but now that everyone has seen her true colors on the x factor no one will buy her music either!

  3. did not even kno they didn't exist. so when is the new group's tenure expiring?

  4. In my opinion they still won't be able to top the original dolls, but whatever.

  5. They look like post op transexuals.

Go Daddy is attempting to ruin the internet with their support of SOPA & PIPA…or whatever new form those bills have taken. Notice that when sites are shutdown people attempting to visit those sites are redirected to Go Daddy. You don't have to look too far to see who's making a profit off of your freedoms being stepped on.

  7. Looking foward to the Superbowl and the PUSSYCAT DOLLS very hot.

Chuck Andolina Wrong, Nicole is still doing just as good as she was before that X Factor incident, which to be honest, no one really blames her for. Did you not see how the audience embraced her after her performance. She still has her fans. she has nothing to worry about.

Umm, to be honest, even at 33, none of these girls come anywhere near to touching Nicole. They look like a fake, plastic, trying too hard sexy. Nicole's appeal was more natural. Just sayin.

From this photo I can only asume they are all Victoria Secret Angel wannabee's.

  17. How do you even know? You haven't heard any material from them; maybe you should give them a chance before you start judging.

Who is the little skin head down front?

  19. Typically, anything that is remade in music or movies I never really like. And I've learned to not get my hopes up in this day and age. If it's anything with autotune in it then it's garbage. But we'll see.

  20. Chuck Andolina Not for nothing, but I have never watched X-Factor. Nor, American Idle, either.

BTW… the misspelling of "Idol" is intentional…
