CW’s ‘Arrow’ Teases Season 4 Villain In The Season 3 Finale, Find Out Who

CW’s Arrow is arguably one of their most successful superhero shows, though it was not their first and certainly wont be their last. The Flash and a potential Atom spin-off, according to the Inquisitr, has CW set to become prime real estate for the birth of many comic book adaptations to come. Smallville may have started the ball rolling for the CW, but it was Arrow that kicked it into high gear.

While other networks are just getting their comic book adaptations off the ground, the CW is refining their current collection. Arrow has at least one major villain that is part of the story arc, and eventual climax, that comes in each season finale. Malcolm Merlyn (Dark Archer), Slade Wilson (Deathstroke), and Ra’s Al Ghul will undoubtedly be tough acts to follow, but Arrow Season 3 will be introducing the Season 4 story arc villain.

For those who detest spoilers of the show or want to avoid rumored future happenings, please do not read any further.

So, now that you crossed the threshold into spoiler-dom, welcome. There, apparently, has been a name floating around as to whom this mysterious new villain will be. According to Screenrant, a writer for TV Line, Michael Ausiello, seems to have the inside information on that name.

“The show’s Season 3 finale will introduce a major, formidable, fierce new foe for Oliver, and his reign of terror will continue well into Season 4. The mysterious character is being referred to internally as ‘Damian Dark,’ which got Matt Mitovich and I (but mostly MM) pulling up and skimming the Wiki page of one Damian Wayne. Get it? Damian Wayne. Son of the Dark Knight. They’d probably have to tweak the Bruce Wayne connection, but it’s a plausible theory, no?”

Well, he might have been premature, because a short Google and DC Wikia search reveals that there is a Damian Dark.

“Readers better-schooled than Matt Mitovich and I (but mostly MM) notes that Damien Darhk is a H.I.V.E. operative per DC lore, and thus is more likely to be introduced.”

So, maybe not quite another reason for everyone and their brother to link Batman and Arrow, but it does link to past episodes. For anyone who recalls the episode “Keep Your Enemies Closer,” H.I.V.E. was the organization that contracted Deadshot.

Of course, until we get to the Arrow Season 3 finale, it is all speculation. Perhaps it is misdirection, or maybe it is a combination of words and wordplay. Either way, one thing is for certain: everyone will be glued to their seats awaiting the conclusion for Season 3, Not to mention, the introduction to an all-new season.

What are your thoughts?

Who will be the next Arrow baddie? Will the CW choose Damien Dark, or do they someone else in mind for Season 4? Leave your thoughts.
