Leslie Carter’s Death: Family Blames Prescription Meds

Although it hasn’t been confirmed by a coroner report, family members are convinced Leslie Carter overdosed earlier this week on prescription medication. It is said that Leslie was battling an addiction to prescription medication just days before her death.

According to TMZ, sources close to the “House of Carters” reality star have said that the sister of Nick and Aaron Carter had recently moved from Canada to Upstate, New York to live with family members while she kicked and recovered from her addiction to the medication.

The medication according to family members included Xanax, but they were hopeful that she would have a speedy recovery, and was “okay” to stay by herself in the home for an hour while they ran errands, but when the family members returned she was unconscious.

Paramedics were called onto the scene but Leslie could not be revived.

Leslie’s 1 year-old daughter April was not at home at the time of her overdose.

On Wednesday older brother and Backstreet Boy released a statement stating that he would not cancel his tour because of the sudden death of his younger sister, stating “Performing is cathartic to me and I am dedicating the rest of my tour to my sister since she loved to watch me perform.”

In 2006 she was featured in the reality show “House of Carters” on E! which featured Nick Carter, Bobbie Jean, Leslie and twins Angel and Aaron as they tried to work together as a family despite their estranged relationships with their parents.
