Taylor Swift Godmother: Taylor Swift Becomes Godmother To Jaime King’s Second Child

Taylor Swift can do it all these days. She can write hit songs about her past relationships, she can put on a great show at the BRIT Awards, and she can bake with some of her best friends. Taylor will be adding something else to her list: godmother.

The “Blank Space” singer revealed that she will be the godmother to Jaime King’s second child. Swift shared a photo of herself holding King’s baby bump.

Taylor captioned the photo: “Guess who just got named Godmother of this little one…..(ME).”

Swift looks loving at King’s growing belly in the photo. The BFF also posted a photo of herself announcing the news with the singer. In the photo, Swift looks over King’s shoulder with a smile on her face.

King captioned the photo: “And @taylorswift will beforever looking over our new baby @kyle_newman – we all love you!!!! Xx”

Jaime first announced the news that she was expecting her second child with husband Kyle Newman in February, according to Access Hollywood. The couple already have a 16-month-old son named James Knight.

Some of Swift’s casual fans may not be aware of her friendship with King. The Hart of Dixie star spoke to E! News last year about her relationship with the singer. In the interview, King spoke very highly of Swift and her kind demeanor.

“Taylor is just one of my closest, closest friends—one of my dear, dear friends. We just met and instantly had a connection. She is also another woman that I feel is one of the most authentic women we have in this industry that other women look up to.”

Jamie and her husband haven’t yet revealed who the godfather will be. The couple’s first son, James Knight, has Jessica Alba and Topher Grace as his godparents.

This is great news for Taylor Swift, who’s been under a lot of scrutiny lately. The singer recently threatened to leave Tumblr after fans attacked her for befriending a fan, who’s also a known online bully. Swift was also accused by fans on Twitter who believe that she’s exploiting a terminally ill fan in order to further enhance her career.

The singer also revealed that love isn’t a priority in her life these days. She’s focusing on her famous friendships and her cats, Meredith and Olivia. Taylor Swift told Access Hollywood that she’s “content” with being single and where her life is at the moment. She even made a vow that she’ll be single at 30.
