This bike can be yours for $100,000

Well, actually the model shown is for sale for $102,418 but you would have to act fast because there are only ten of these bling bikes being made. The bike is called the Aurumania Gold Bike Crystal Edition and is hand built with 24 carat gold and hand adorned with more than 600 Swarovski crystals. If crystals aren’t exactly your idea of bling material you can also order one of 50 being made with just the 24 carat gold for a little less money.
As well the handlebar grips are made of hand-sewn chocolate brown leather and a moulded Brooks leather saddle adds the traditional touch to this bike. Now of course when you buy one of these gems it will be hand delivered to you anywhere in the world.

I wonder what the world's best frame builder, Brian Baylis, would charge to build a gold-plated bike? It would certainly be worth more than this unsigned frameset!

I wonder if someone is actually dumb enough to order something like this, just because someone put an exorbitant price on it that has nothing to do with the true value. So what if they spent $2000 gold plating it and adding a bag of $20 crystals from a craft and arts shop. There is no way its worth anything close to that kind of money, especially for a no-name bicycle, built by a no-name framemaker.
