Kate Upton — The Chameleon: Make-Up Free Vs. Touched Up

Kate Upton is a super model in every sense of the word. But this week, the Sports Illustrated bombshell showed off two sides to herself.

First, according to E! Online, Upton was spotted in Beverly Hills in decidedly mundane fashion. Worse yet, the Marie Claire spokesperson was completely make-up free revealing blotches on her skin.

“The 22-year-old Sports Illustrated stunner was photographed earlier this week in Beverly Hills, Calif., where she stepped out for a makeup-free outing, during which her slightly blotchy skin was noticeably visible,” the report suggested.

“Upton looked both polished and business casual in a pair of gray trouser-style capris which she teamed with a navy blue blouse and black glasses. She added a gold watch as well as a blue and white handbag for accessories while rocking sharp black pumps on her feet.”

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reported that Upton was again spotted out in public make-up free, but this time, her skin blotches had vanished.

“Kate Upton was seen confidently showing off her acne-free complexion while catching a red eye flight out of Los Angeles International airport on Saturday,” the article reported.

As recently reported by Inquisitr, Upton prefers to go make-up free or use very limited application whenever possible. “Simple makeup has always worked best for me,” Kate said in a recent interview on Marie Claire’s website.

“I grew up in Florida, and I think that may be part of the reason. I was really involved with showing horses, and that’s actually why I first wore makeup: Before the horse shows, my mom or older sister would help me put on lipstick or some eyeshadow. It was never about pageantry; it was a little confidence boost that helped me feel more put together.”

Upton continued, expressing how her personality is a reflection of how she prepares herself in terms of make-up application.

“The other reason I usually do more natural makeup is my personality. I’m a talker—and I don’t have a filter. Plus, I’m always smiling. I think if I walked into a room wearing neon or lots of makeup, people would be like, ‘Whoa, it’s all too much!’ So I tone down my makeup for balance.”

Finally, Kate Upton dished on her everyday routine when it comes to looking naturally beautiful.

“My everyday look is based on something a makeup artist once told me, which is, ‘Start with pretty,'” Upton said. “I brush out my brows, put on a bit of brown shadow and mascara, and then perfect my skin with Bobbi Brown’s concealer kit. You can always add a lip color and enhance it from there, but if you start with pretty, then it’s more about the woman than the makeup.”
