Sharon Osbourne Praises Daughter Kelly Osbourne For Her Decision To Leave ‘Fashion Police’
Sharon Osbourne is a mother before she is anything else, and she is speaking out and praising daughter Kelly Osbourne for her decision to leave E!’s Fashion Police following Giuliana Rancic’s controversial comments on singer Zendaya’s 2015 Oscars look.
According to a previous report by the Inquisitr, Kelly Osbourne announced her departure from the popular show Fashion Police on Friday, following the controversy surrounding the show and fellow host Giuliana Rancic’s comments about actress and singer Zendaya.
The E! Network released a statement formally acknowledging Kelly Osbourne’s decision.
“Kelly Osbourne is departing E!s Fashion Police to pursue other opportunities, and we would like to thank her for her many contributions to the series over the past five years, during which time the show became a hit with viewers. Fashion Police will return, as scheduled, on Friday, March 30th at 9:00 pm and no decisions have been made on her replacement.”
Kelly Osbourne threatened to leave the show earlier this week via social media after she reportedly was dragged into the controversy. She offered up a few messages via Twitter before she said she was “seriously considering” leaving the show.

Since then, Giuliana Rancic has issued multiple apologies to Zendaya, and while Zendaya initially reacted very strongly to the controversial comments, the singer is said to be “over it.” While the situation seems to have calmed down, Kelly Osbourne still made the decision to walk away from the show, though reports are saying that her decision was not made solely on this incident.
According to US Weekly, a source close to Kelly said that this situation just “solidified her decision to move on.”
“It was time for her to go. She had five great years there, and the relationship she had with Joan [Rivers] there changed her life.”
No matter what lead to Kelly’s decision to walk away from Fashion Police, her mother, Sharon Osbourne has her daughter’s back. Sharon took to social media to show her support for Kelly’s decision and posted an endearing message to her daughter.

According to People, Sharon Osbourne also made a memorable leave back in 2012 when she decided to leave NBC’s America’s Got Talent after she learned that the network cut ties with her son, Jack Osbourne, after learning about his multiple sclerosis diagnosis.
Sharon Osbourne has supported daughter Kelly throughout the week following the Fashion Police controversy. She has stood up for her and offered up explanations when needed.
