Taylor Swift Performs ‘Blank Space,’ Glitterbombs BRIT Awards
Taylor Swift performed her hit single “Blank Space” at the 2015 BRIT Awards. Several reports said that the newly crowned princess of pop performed “flawlessly.” Some would say that she “glitter-bombed” her very own performance at the awards show.
Swift performed “Blank Space” at London’s O2 arena on Wednesday, February 25, according to MTV News. “Blank Space” is the second single off Swift’s hit album, 1989. The singer wore a black blazer and black matching shorts with fishnet tights. Some would say that she looked like a businessperson, especially with her “mom haircut.”
There was plenty of flash during Taylor’s performance. She did her best to convey the message of the song as lights flashed everywhere behind her. She then danced with a group of attractive men during her “Blank Space” performance. Taylor ended the performance with a downpour of glitter all over the stage.
The “Blank Space” singer also took home her first-ever BRIT Award for International Female Solo Artist, according to Hollywood Life. In her acceptance speech, Swift thanked her best friends Cara Delevingne, Ellie Goulding, Sam Smith, and Ed Sheeran.
“Honestly, I know I wouldn’t be up here if it wasn’t for one of my best friends who took me to pubs and taught me to make a good cup of tea and taught me everything I know about the U.K. I just want to say I love you, Ed Sheeran, wherever you are. I also want to thank my other British friends – Cara, Ellie and Sam, I’m very lucky to have them in my life. And I’m very lucky to have the British fans in my life, I love you.”
Taylor’s speech sure had “Sweeran” fans going crazy on Twitter. They can’t seem to let go of the thought of Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran dating. Some hope that the two best friends will date while others believe that the two are secretly dating.
Sheeran was also a big winner at the BRIT Awards. He took home an award for British Male Solo Artist, according to the Independent. He also picked up an award for Mastercard British Album of the Year.
There are a lot of secrets coming out from the popular “Blank Space” music video. The Inquisitr previously reported what it was like for two Andalusian horses to work with Taylor Swift. The report said that it took all day to shoot the three scenes that the horses, Chico and Paco, were filmed in. Their owner, Diane Beuchert, revealed that there was a lot of waiting around on set. But Taylor Swift took kindly to the horses – and the feeling was mutual.
Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” single has been one of the hottest songs off her critically acclaimed 1989 album.
