It’s February 27, Do You Know Where Your ‘GTA V’ Online Heists DLC Is?

Despite the leaked report that GTA V may be coming out on February 27, the date has arrived and it has not been released. In fact, the online version won’t even be coming out in March as originally promised — the PC release date has been pushed back several weeks until April 14, according to a report from Gamespot.

Rockstar has been very apologetic about the delays, stating that the reasoning behind them is that they are working out the bugs to give gamers incredible playing experience. For the many who have been waiting, the delay has caused significant annoyance, and the company recognizes this.

“Our apologies to PC gamers worldwide who have been counting down the days until the launch of the game, but a bit more time is needed to ensure that the game is as polished as possible,” Rockstar said in their press release. The PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 is our most graphically and technically advanced version yet, fully optimized to support a broad range of current hardware and features a host of PC-specific enhancements including greater levels of detail, deep configuration options and ultra-high-definition support – as well as the powerful new Rockstar Editor for recording, staging and editing original custom videos.”

Thousands have pre-ordered the game, and there is some good news for them. Each will get an additional $200,000 of in-game cash that they can use in GTA Online, which should help to ease the blow of the delayed release date. They have also released screen shots of the new version, which are highly defined and exploding with realism. The immaculate realism is one of the reasons there has been a delay, according to Rockstar, as the imagery requires much polishing and took more time than was initially anticipated when the original release dates were set. As the Inquisitr has previously reported, there is also rumored to be awe-inspiring environmental features, such as a tsunami and avalanche, in which to navigate. New characters will also add to the excitement of the highly anticipated game, which Rockstar has repeatedly said won’t disappoint, even if release dates have.

Rockstar has announced that the release of the Heists DLC is still slated for March 10 and that they will keep gamers updated about the release and give more information as they know more. While waiting for the much-anticipated release is difficult, many gamers still feel it is worth it due to the added features and bonus cash that Rockstar has offered because of the inconvenience.
