Sorry folks, you can’t have a fish pedicure in Florida

Fish lovers will be devastated to learn that you can’t have a fish pedicure in Florida.

The Florida Board of Cosmetology banned the procedure in the state, even though no one was offering it, after some salons had inquired about the legality of introducing fish to their premises.

A fish pedicure involves placing your body part in a pool of water full of fish, and letting the fish eat off the dead parts of your skin on the surface.

Animal cruelty, or illegal aqua fetishes weren’t to blame for the ban. The board cited hygiene as an issue, because there’s no way to disinfect a pool full of fish between uses.
