Will Smith, Kanye West Record Songs, But Don’t Look For Them Soon [Video]

Kanye West is making the news hard and heavy on February 26. First off, the uncensored performance of Kanye’s new song “All Day” at the BRIT Awards is going viral, as reported by the Inquisitr. This is probably thanks to the flamethrower used during the performance and large crowd of hoodie-wearing folks Kanye brought on stage with him as he sang about his love for Chicago, all things hard, and balling “all day.” However, unless the Fresh Prince of Bel Air was hiding in the crowd, Will Smith wasn’t one of those folks in the crowd of Yeezus worshippers.

Surprising news has surfaced that Will Smith and Kanye West have recorded approximately seven or eight songs together, as reported by the Daily Mail?. Although Kanye West has served as a collaborative producer with Will Smith, the actor claims their collaboration hasn’t produced anything Smith likes just yet. When reporters asked Smith about his music career at a special screening of Focus, and let Will know that it’s never too late to get a Focus soundtrack going for his latest movie, Smith discussed his secret recording sessions with Kanye.

“I think I may have gotten inspired again. Maybe, maybe. I went into the studio with Kanye West — top secret. I’m exploring. I’m not sure what I’m gonna do yet. I’m in a creative ceiling. My son tells me I have to write out the things I don’t like. I can’t write and stop – I have to keep going and going and write them out. I’ve never worked like that before, but I think I might give that a shot.”

Beyond that, Will didn’t spill too many details about Smith’s collaboration with Kanye. He didn’t say whether the genre was simply rap and hip-hop-flavored or something touching like West’s “Only One,” a song that’s winning raves and being covered by Nick Jonas. Instead, Smith focused on his Focus workout, saying his wife made it clear that he needed to get in the gym and get in shape before starring next to Margot Robbie in the movie.

Meanwhile, Will Smith peformed “Summertime” on Jimmy Kimmel Live, reports Billboard?, and continues to win more raves for his cute PDA pics with Jada Pinkett Smith, more so than any leaked songs of Smith and Kanye together, as reported by E! Online?.
