Tammy Meyers: Road Rage Killing May Have Actually Been Prescription Drug Deal Gone Wrong

Tammy Meyers was killed in what was initially described as an unexpected and violent road rage incident, but one man connected to the saga now says the mother of four was actually murdered in a prescription drug deal gone wrong.

Police say that 19-year-old Erich Nowsch shot and killed Meyers after a run-in on a road. Family members initially claimed that Nowsch followed Meyers home after the incident and shot her in the head after she exited the car, but now police believe that Meyers may have sought out the suspect along with her armed son.

Now, one local man says there is much more to the story. Robert Selig, 47, said he believes the incident went down much differently.

“Nobody chased nobody down,” Selig, who was once part of Nowsch’s inner circle, told the Mail Online. “The son and mother left the Meyers residence looking for Erich on a drug deal gone bad. That’s the word on the street. A prescription drug deal gone bad.”

Selig said he did not have firsthand knowledge that Tammy Meyers was indeed killed in a drug deal gone wrong, but said the circumstances of her killing point to it.

“All this stuff with Mrs Meyers, is all pharmaceutical pills and drugs,” he said. “That’s what Erich sold at that park. And that’s why Mrs Meyers went there, picking up pharmaceutical pills from Erich, like Xanax. The kid sold it right there at that concrete table, day in day out.”

Reports said that Tammy Meyers knew Erich Nowsch and even mentored the teenager.

“We know this boy,” said her husband, Robert Meyers. “I couldn’t tell you this before. He knew where I lived. We knew how bad he was but we didn’t know he was this bad.”

But somehow their relationship soured, and after the road rage confrontation, Meyers refused to call the police, and instead went home to her armed son to “come with me or I will go myself.”

A police report noted, “Brandon said he got dressed, went into his grandmother’s bedroom, and took his Beretta 9mm handgun from a dresser drawer. Brandon said he told his mother to come in the house and call the police, but she told him no come with me or I will go myself.”

Eric Nowsch faces charges of murder and attempted murder for the shooting death of Tammy Meyers.
