Nick Jonas Covers Kanye West’s ‘Only One,’ Fans React On Twitter
Nick Jonas has made headlines again with yet another solid vocal performance.
However, the Jealous singer didn’t use one of his own songs to achieve that goal – he actually covered one of Kanye West’s recent hits.
That’s right! The youngest member of the Jonas Brothers decided to go above and beyond by covering perhaps one of the most emotional songs of Kanye West’s career so far – “Only One.”

Keep in mind that the 22-year-old singer is not known for rapping or even covering the songs of famous rappers. However, Nick Jonas clearly felt connected to this particular song and wanted to put his own spin on it.
Listening to the song, it is clear that the overall production is a lot more raw and stripped down than the original version – especially since Nick Jonas has a solid singing voice. Many fans and critics that have heard the Nick Jonas cover posted their honest reactions and comments on Twitter.
As of right now, the overall consensus is that many people love the cover. Some even feel that Nick Jonas’ cover is better than Kanye West’s original recording.

Perhaps one of the biggest reasons why Nick Jonas’ cover of “Only One” seems to be getting so much positive feedback is because of the fact that he did not need to use Auto-tune to sing it – something which is heavily used by Kanye West on the original cut.
However, the power of the song was never in Kanye West’s performance or the quality of his singing abilities. The power of “Only One” comes from the underlying, emotion-stirring message. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Kanye West wrote “Only One” from the perspective of his deceased mother, Donda West.
Donda is basically encouraging Kanye to always remind his firstborn child and daughter, North “Nori” West that she is always with them.

Kanye even got a little help from none other than Paul McCartney for the song as well.
