Zayn Malik: Is There A Rift In The One Direction Camp?
One Direction star Zayn Malik has had a difficult time over the past year. The constant touring has caused Zayn to postpone his wedding to Little Mix star Perrie Edwards. Zayn has been caught up in a drug controversy and his work commitments have taken their toll on his health.
Zayn and his One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne are just a few weeks into their latest world tour and are currently in Japan. Guardian Liberty Voice reports that during the band’s final Australian show at Perth’s Paterson Stadium, 22-year-old Zayn was mid-way through their fourth song when he had to suddenly exit the stage, and did not return to finish the concert.
Niall Horan informed the audience that Malik had not been too well before the show and that he was unable to continue. Malik’s latest illness will be a major concern for One Direction fans, as the band is just seven dates into their 80-show “On The Road Again Tour.” Malik’s latest illness will be a concern for fans, as it is not the first time that Zayn has been unable to meet an important band commitment. Back in November, Malik missed an album launch event and an appearance on the The Today Show, which caused controversy when host Matt Lauer suggested the possibility that Malik was suffering from drug or alcohol abuse.
Whilst fans are concerned about Malik’s help the Mail reports that, publicly at least, Zayn has had little or no sympathy from his bandmates who have not posted one social media word of support for Malik. One Direction have had a few days rest after arriving in Osaka, Japan and all have taken to social media for one thing or another.
Niall Horan found time to comment on soccer matches.

Harry Styles found time to thank the band’s Australian fans.

Louis Tomlinson found time to send well wishes to a charity he supports.

Lastly, Liam Payne found time to tweet about getting involved in drinking games.

Strangely none of Zayn Malik’s bandmates had a single word to say about Malik’s illness or whether he had recovered. Malik himself has been active on twitter but his messages and retweets suggest that he is less than happy, which left Unreality TV suggesting that Zayn may be getting a tad weary of the drama of it all again. Zayn quit using the social media platform last year, but has recently been more active.
Has Twitter heard of a delete all button ?

It is not yet known whether Zayn Malik’s health will be back in good enough shape for the show in Osaka tomorrow, but the lack of any comment on Zayn’s health is puzzling to say the least. There had been speculation in the past that Malik could quit One Direction when the band’s current contract with Simon Cowell expires at the end of this year. In addition, the latest episode is likely to leave fans speculating as to whether there is a rift between Zayn Malik and the rest of the band.
