Julianne Moore Movies To Release In 2015, Three New Films To Rock Your Year
Julianne Moore’s movies haven’t stopped because of the Oscars. While for 2014-2015 she’s won 18 awards so far, Julianne is keeping the snowball moving.
Actors and actresses live extremely busy lives. For Moore, this is no exception, and is evidently proven on the Internet Movie Database(IMDb). Throughout Julianne’s movie career, she’s won 100 awards and been nominated 105 times. Her first award was from 1988 for her role on As the World Turns. Did you know Moore started her career in a soap opera?
Anyway, to present day, Julianne has three new movies which are set to release this year. However, it’s unclear which of these movies is coming out first. According to IMDb, only one of them has a definite, full date, while the others only have the year.
The one of these films is the highly-proclaimed The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2. If you haven’t seen the first part, Moore actually made her initial appearance in that film. She plays the part of President Alma Coin, and is the leader of the rebel movement. In this part, Julianne helps to influence Katniss, played by Jennifer Lawrence, to influence the people of surviving districts to rally in honor of their fallen brethren.
Interestingly enough, Moore has already finished her part in this movie. Both Part 1 and Part 2 were filmed during the same shootings, says IMDb. Accordingly, the movie is currently in post-production and is set to release November 20, 2015.
Also in post-production is Julianne’s movie Freeheld. It’s a biography/drama about a car mechanic named Stacie Andree and her girlfriend, Laurel Hester. In the plot, both try to lock in Hester’s pension, after she was diagnosed with a terminal illness. In this film, Moore plays the part of Hester — also acting alongside another Oscar-nominated actor, Steve Carell, who plays the part of Steven Goldstein. This would make two non-comedic movies Carell has taken on, consecutively — the first being Foxcatcher.
For this movie, there is no definitely-proposed release date. However, it’s noted that it’ll be in 2015.
However, in the most recent string of Julianne’s movies, she’s actually about to begin working on a comedy called Maggie’s Plan. And Maggie’s plan is to make it in New York City on her own. Well, that’s the premise behind the film, anyway. It’s not affirmed what Moore’s part will be in the movie. However, Maggie will be played by Greta Gerwig. Also, it appears that Ethan Hawke has a part in the film, as well. He’s also an 2015-Oscar-nominated actor, for the movie Boyhood.
What do you think about Julianne’s upcoming movies? Do you think they’ll be good watches?
