‘Once Upon A Time’: Which Characters Are Leaving Storybrooke?

Once Upon a Time executive producer Adam Horowitz is certainly someone who likes to tease fans. And with less than two weeks left before the fairy tale series returns for the second half of its fourth season, Horowitz has laid out some more teasers.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, both Rumplestiltskin and Robin Hood left Storybrooke at the end of the Once Upon a Time winter finale. And from the looks of it, they both will end up in New York City for a period of time.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Horowitz said that when Once Upon a Time returns, fans will see that it won’t be just those two characters leaving Storybrooke.

“You’ll see some characters arriving in Storybrooke and you’ll see some characters departing as well.”

Although he didn’t reveal who would be coming and who would be going, Horowitz did add that a few episodes will be devoted to being outside of Storybrooke.

“We think it’s fun to venture outside the confines of Storybrooke and see some of our characters in the real world.”

One of those episodes will focus on Robin Hood as he journeys through the city with wife Marion and son Roland. The Daily Mail spotted the Once Upon a Time cast and crew filming a scene in Vancouver, Canada, in which Robin chases down a thief that stole Marion’s handbag. The actors were seen wearing modern day clothes as filming was taking place, too.

Even on his official Twitter page, Horowitz has been dishing out teases about some of the upcoming Once Upon a Time episodes, and which actors are being cast for the remainder of the season.

The Once Upon a Time winter finale also saw the conclusion of the Frozen story arc. It then teased that the second half of the season would bring in the Queens of Darkness. They are Maleficent, Ursula, and Cruella de Vil.

As Carter Matt points out, it is likely that Maleficent will get an entire episode devoted to her story.

“Meanwhile, there will be others that focus more on the other members of the Queens of Darkness, i.e. Ursula and Cruella de Vil. Of the two, we’re slightly more interested to see how Cruella is woven into this world”
