‘Real Housewife’ LuAnn De Lesseps Admits To Being Unsure Of Bethenny Frankel’s Return, Wants Her Own Dating Show

Real Housewife LuAnn de Lesseps is preparing for the Season 7 premiere of the New York-based franchise, and speaking out about the new season.

In a February 20 interview with In Touch Weekly, de Lesseps spoke of Frankel’s return.

“I wasn’t sure when she came back, but it’s really been fun having her back. It really feels like old times. And we talk a lot about the old times in the season too, so I think people are going to like that. I think people will identify with us even more because we do have an old friendship and a special bond that’s different.”

Both LuAnn and Frankel were a part of the Season 1 cast of The Real Housewives of New York City. However, ahead of Season 4, Frankel left the show and began appearing in Bethenny Getting Married, a series about her wedding to Jason Hoppy. Months later, the series was renamed Bethenny Ever After, and cameras continued to follow the star in her day-to-day life as a working mother and wife.

Meanwhile, Real Housewife LuAnn continued to film The Real Housewives of New York City in a full-time role until Season 6, when she was demoted to a “friend of the wives.”

As the Inquisitr reported earlier this month, de Lesseps recently spoke out about her demotion, claiming she was confident she would be upgraded to a full-time role for Season 7. Speaking to the New York Post, de Lesseps claimed she stepped up during filming on the latest season and hoped Bravo would recognize that and reward her for doing so.

Also in her interview with In Touch Weekly, de Lesseps, who divorced her husband years ago and dated the much younger Jacques Asoulay in the years after, revealed she’d love to have her own show — a dating show, perhaps.

“I would love to do a show about style. [Maybe] ‘Queer Eye for the Straight Guy’ meets ‘Super Nanny.’ I could do your makeup, I could do your styling, I could tell you how to be a great mom, and how to wrap it all, all of it together. You know, how to be a great hostess, how to be a good wife, you know, all of these things. So that would be awesome. Or they could do ‘Courting the Countess.’ I would like to be able to find my Prince Charming! Like, forget about ‘The Bachelor,’ what about ‘The Countess’? That would be much better!”
