Sasha Grey Dead? Russian-Backed Rebels Claim Porn Star Killed By Ukrainian Troops While Serving As Nurse
Sasha Grey has not died in Ukraine, despite some propaganda from Russian-backed militants that claimed the porn star died while volunteering as a nurse during the conflict.
The group made posts on social media claiming that the popular American porn star was treating militants injured during the conflicts when she became a casualty herself.
The reports that Sasha Grey was dead circulated far enough that the porn star herself decided to speak up, letting her more than 800,000 followers know that she was just fine.
“I <3 my Russian fans, but this propaganda takes it too far. News that I was a NURSE killed in the Russian/Ukraine conflict,” she tweeted, before striking a more political tone.

The militant reports claimed that Sasha Grey was captured by Ukrainian troops and eventually killed. The 26-year-old American had voiced her support for Ukraine last year during pro-Europe protests in the capital city of Kiev.
Sasha Grey won a number of adult film industry awards between 2007 and 2010, including AVN Female Performer of the Year in 2008. She retired from porn and shifted her focus to mainstream acting, appearing as the lead in Steven Soderbergh’s The Girlfriend Experience and later playing herself the seventh season of the HBO television series Entourage.
The report that Sasha Grey was dead is actually not the first time the porn star has made headlines beyond the world of adult films. Back in 2011, she faced protests for her participation in “Read Across America,” in which she read a book to school children.
