Cleveland Browns New Logo: Leaked Pictures Show Possible Design Change

The Cleveland Brown have a new logo on the way, but some leaks may already show this new design ahead of next week’s official announcement.

The team sent a letter to Browns Backers presidents this week announcing that they would be launching a new primary logo on Tuesday, February 24. The Browns didn’t release any further details, but some online sleuths believe they have found a leaked version of what the new logo will look like.

This new logo showed up Wednesday on the Cleveland Browns board on Reddit, including one from artist Fraser Davidson, who has worked with Nike on some college branding efforts. Sources have also leaked details of the new Cleveland Browns logo, including some information about changes to the team’s face mask.

There are a few things fans will already know about the new Cleveland Browns logo. For one, the iconic all-orange helmets aren’t going anywhere, as owner Jimmy Haslam assured fans that the team would never change those. Some other details of the new Cleveland Browns logo were shared this week by 92.3 The Fan.

“While the logo itself is being closely guarded prior to the reveal, multiple sources have told 92.3 The Fan that the new logo will not incorporate the iconic ‘Brownie’ elf logo that was used by the franchise in the 1950’s and 1960’s in any way. In keeping with a promise made to former owner Randy Lerner as a condition of sale in 2012, the new logo will not adorn the helmet.”

The helmet seemed to be the biggest concern among fans.

The official announcement on the new Cleveland Browns logo will be out in a week.
