‘The Night Shift’ Spoilers: What Is Next On Season 2 For TC And His Friends?

The Night Shift was a huge hit on NBC over the summer, and it is returning for Season 2 Monday night following The Voice. Fans were left wondering what would happen next to TC and his friends at the hospital when The Night Shift Season 1 ended.

At the end of the finale, TC and Jordan shared a moment that was witnessed by her current love interest after a hostage incident caused chaos for the staff. TC was the most rocked by the events. It caused him to have a PTSD breakdown.

Where will The Night Shift Season 2 begin? It is two months after the events of the Season 1 finale. TC is on leave following his breakdown, and Topher is charge of the night staff at the hospital. He has recovered from the gunshot that he experienced during the finale.

Spoiler TV shared two advance sneak peeks for The Night Shift Season 2 Episode 1, titled “Recovery.” The first sneak peek shows a tense moment between TC, Jordan, and Scott. This love triangle will play a major role in Season 2.

Jill Flint teased a bit about what fans can expect when the series returns to NBC next week, according to Enstarz.

“We’re recovered and Jordan and TC are close again. It think Jordan’s having a bit more fun this season. It’s a little sexier this season, for sure. He ended up talking about a lot of his issues and going through, trying to deal a lot of them with Jordan. At the start of the series, he’s in therapy and he’s figuring his stuff out.”

Season 2 of The Night Shift will also see the arrival of a new surgeon. Adam Rodriguez will join the series as Dr. Joey Chavez. Currently, he has a guest star status, but he is bringing his own unique style to the ER. The second sneak peek shared by Spoiler TV shows Dr. Joey at work on a patient, and he is being watched closely by the female staff.

A more general Season 2 preview released by NBC shows more about what fans can expect on the series. This series balances action, medical drama, and people drama in a way that reminds some fans of NBC hit, ER.

The Night Shift is taking over the timeslot that aired State of Affairs, but that series aired its Season 1 finale this week. It is not yet known if NBC will pick up the Katherine Heigl drama for a second season.
