Yolanda Foster Lyme Disease Update: Will She Quit ‘RHOBH?’

Yolanda Foster continues to struggle with Lyme disease.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star revealed she suffered a relapse at the end of last year in a January blog for Bravo TV.

Speaking to fans, Foster claimed she could no longer read, write, or watch TV after the setback.

“I wasted the first year trying to get diagnosed and spent the next two trying to find a cure. I have gone from the conventional long-term antibiotics to about every holistic protocol there is to offer. Unfortunately, I was only able to get to about a 60 percent recovery until I relapsed in early December and have not been able to find my way back.”

Following her blog post, Yolanda Foster traveled to Asia with her husband, music producer David Foster, who was working on Asia’s Got Talent. While in the country, Foster hoped to receive treatments, which were not yet approved in the U.S.

Although Foster hasn’t been feeling her best, she’s kept her fans in the loop with regular health updates online.

On February 17, as the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills played out, Foster took to Instagram, where she shared a positive message with fans.

“You’ll never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have left #NoteToSelf #MyHealthJourney #ChronicNeurologicalLyme.”

Because of Yolanda Foster’s current struggles, her part on the upcoming reunion special for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5 has been pulled into question.

In a February 11 report by Radar Online, a source claimed Foster’s role on the special would likely be “limited.”

“Contractually, cast members are all required to participate, but if Yolanda wasn’t able to do it because of the Lyme disease, she obviously wouldn’t be forced.”

Foster was featured on Season 5 as a full-time cast member, so typically, she would be expected to appear on the reunion sofa to discuss the events of the season.

“Yolanda does want to do it because she is always so professional about work commitments. The main issue with Yolanda’s health is the constant fatigue, and serious memory issues.”

According to the source, Foster hopes her appearance on the reunion will help raise awareness for Lyme disease, and hopefully, allow medical professionals to get closer to finding a cure.

As for her role on a possible sixth season of the show, that is unclear. However, if Foster’s role on the reunion will be limited, it’s hard to think she’d return to the show in a full-time role.
