Introducing the worlds shortest escalator.

The escalator is located in the Kawasaki More’s department store in Japan, and is officially recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as being the worlds shortest, measuring a whopping 33 inches high.

No matter which way you look at this, you still can’t help but wonder why. And even if it should be there, why is it going down and not up? surely the better relief would be to take people up the 33 inch floor change?

    Couldn't they have just turned it into a ramp? But I love the Japanese for their quirkiness and desire to have everything electronic in some way, so good on 'em!
