Britt Nilsson Not Next ‘Bachelorette’? Chris Harrison Dishes On ABC’s New Leading Lady

Britt Nilsson has captured Chris Soules’ heart on this season of the Bachelor, but Reality Steve’s spoilers indicate that she is not the woman who gets his final rose. Does that mean she is going to be the next Bachelorette, or does ABC have someone else in mind?

(Some spoilers ahead!)

Host Chris Harrison chatted with E! Online about the latest Bachelorette gossip, confirming that at least one of the women rumored to become the next leading lady on ABC’s popular reality show will definitely not be getting the gig.

Former Bachelorette Andi Dorfman and two of Chris Soules’ ladies, Britt Nilsson and Kaitlyn Bristowe, have all been mentioned as hopefuls by fans who are buzzing about the upcoming season on Twitter.

Harrison confirms that Andi is not taking on the role a second time. On Sunday night, Andi will appear on the one-hour Chris Tells All special that precedes Episode 7 of the Bachelor. She will talk about her breakup with Josh, but that’s the end of the road for her as far as the Bachelorette goes — at least for the time being.

“I love Andi to death but I don’t think she would do it again. She really is heartbroken… We’ve had no discussions abut bringing her back.”

With Andi out of the picture, the top picks seem to be Britt and Kaitlyn. Both women have a growing fan base, but Britt seemed to slip down the ranks a bit last week, and may lose some fans on Sunday night’s episode as well.

Last week, she upset the other ladies when she was overly affectionate with Chris Soules and took off on an impromptu one-on-one date (Big & Rich concert) with him. According to a previous report by the Inquisitr, Britt leaves the show on Sunday night (Episode 7). There are rumors that she leaves to take the role of the next Bachelorette, but previews indicate that she leaves Prince Farming because she couldn’t picture herself living in Arlington, Iowa. Chances are they don’t have stores there that sell crop tops and glittery eye shadow, so leaving was probably a good move on her part.

Chris Harrison will not confirm (or deny) that Britt will be handing out roses this spring, instead he points to Kaitlyn as another option for the role.

“We have not picked a Bachelorette, for sure… Kaitlyn would be a blast. I would love to do it with her. She’s just fun. She reminds me a little bit of Michelle Money who I also love and adore.”

Kaitlyn makes it much farther than Britt on the show, making it past Monday’s hometowns dates (with Whitney, Becca, and Jade) and on to the all-important overnight dates in Bali. Reality Steve’s spoilers indicate that her journey to find love with Chris Soules ends after she spends the night in the Fantasy Suite. Perhaps she will move on and entertain fans as the next Bachelorette?

“Self-deprecating, amazingly quick-witted sense of humor, she kind of gets it. I love that kind of show. It would be fun for me selfishly to do it with her.”

Chris Harrison says that Britt is “obviously drop-dead gorgeous” and “men would be falling all over themselves to have a chance to date her.” However, he thinks both ladies would “produce very good shows in really different ways.”

With just a few weeks to go before the Bachelor season finale (March 9), it’s likely that Chris Harrison will have better idea as to who the next Bachelorette is at some point between the airing of the Women Tell All special (March 2) and the final rose ceremony. Whether the rose-master will reveal her name during the live After the Final Rose special or on the upcoming season premiere of Dancing with the Stars is not known.

For now, enjoy the rest of Chris Soules’ season of the Bachelor while you wait to see which lady will be picked to become ABC’s next Bachelorette.
