Victoria’s Secret Panty Thief: Woman Swipes $10K Worth Of Panties In 2 Hours

Authorities are on the lookout for a Victoria’s Secret panty thief who left with thousands of dollars worth of ladies underwear. On Saturday, a clever shoplifter managed to swipe $10,000 in panties from Victoria’s Secret at Lenox Square Mall in Atlanta. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the woman swiftly stole about 795 pairs of panties before making her get away. The mind boggling part is she did it all within two hours.

Officer Ralph Woolfolk said Thursday that the public’s help is needed in this case. Surveillance photos are released of the woman during her shoplifting venture.

Woolfolk says the shoplifter used three shopping bags when she raided the Victoria’s Secret store. She made her calculating moves, then made off with them.

According to Intown Atlanta, the theft happened around 6 p.m. on February 7.

As seen in the picture, the suspect is a black woman wearing a red hat, white and black t-shirt, and red and white tennis shoes.

Anyone with information on the Victoria’s Secret panty thief is urged to call Crime Stoppers. If someone wants to remain anonymous, they can feel secure by calling the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477), online at www.crimestoppersatlanta.org, or by texting to CRIMES (274637).

A reward of up to $2,000 is offered, and callers aren’t required to provide names or give identifying information in order to be eligible for it, according to the report.

The Columbus Dispatch published a report about another panty thief being on the loose after stealing 30 pairs of undies worth $1,600 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The woman was able to pilfer the items at Victoria’s Secret on Tuesday as shop associates were busy assisting other customers.

There isn’t a description of the South Carolina suspect that authorities are on the hunt for.

A spokeswoman at Victoria’s Secret parent company, L Brands in Columbus, issued a statement about the recent string of panty thefts.

“We take matters of theft seriously and work closely with local authorities on these types of investigations.”

In a previous report on Inquisitr about Victoria’s Secret shoplifting sprees, two men reportedly grabbed 300 pairs of panties in December of 2012.

Shoplifters steal for an array of reasons, be it professionally or to keep personally. Some have mastered the art of doing it for years, but many get caught eventually. A man who used to steal from Toys ‘R’ Us claims he’d pilfered about a million dollars from the company by replacing cheap toys in boxes with expensive electronic devices to resell.

It’s unknown when the Victoria’s Secret panty thief will be caught by authorities, but they do have something to go on.
