‘Destiny’: Xur’s Location And Exotic Goods For Weekend Of February 13, Icebreaker Returns

Destiny players who have not yet picked up an Icebreaker Sniper Rifle should gather their Strange Coins and visit Xûr, Agent of the Nine. The mystery vendor appeared once again Friday morning with one of the most coveted weapons in the PlayStation and Xbox shooter.

Xûr can be found in the very back of the bar located underneath the Future War Cult in the hangar this weekend. It’s a long jog, but easy to find. Just turn left when you enter the hanger, go down the stairs to the left, and then straight back. Here’s where you can find him on the Tower map just to be sure though.

Destiny Xur Tower Bar (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)

Xûr and his items will only be available in Destiny through the morning of Sunday, February 15. As soon as the clock strikes 5 a.m. ET / 2 a.m. PT, he will be gone.

If you missed when Xûr sold the Icebreaker last time, here’s your second (technically third chance). The armor he’s selling falls on the average side this week. This isn’t because the armor selection is poor as much as the stat rolls for them are average at best, but it may be possible to upgrade them to better stats.

Here is what is available for sale and upgrade from Xûr this weekend. Thanks again to DestinyDB for the Exotic information below.

For those wondering what to get, here are a few helpful hints.

Destiny Ice Breaker (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)

The Ice Breaker Sniper Rifle is a must have when playing PVE for the simple fact that you never have to worry about running out of ammo. The weapon regenerates a shot every 4 seconds, and the Mulligan perk will return a missed shot to the magazine about 5 percent of the time. The “Ice Breaker” perk also causes kills to explode and do additional damage to nearby enemies. You can also let the ammo build up to six rounds with this weapon and then switch over to another weapon when you are in a bind. This is an invaluable weapon while raiding, and was only recently surpassed by Black Hammer against bosses thanks to its White Nail perk. However, that can only be picked up by defeating Crota.

Destiny Helm of Inmost Light (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)

The Helm of Inmost Light is a Titan Striker specific helmet, and is really a must have for those focused on high damage output. The Invigoration perk reduces the melee cooldown when Orbs of Light are picked up while Rain Blows increases melee attack speed. The Recklessness perk is the headliner though, as it adds Death from Above and Headstrong to Fist of Havoc.

The stat roll for the Helm of Inmost Light comes in with a 104 Strength roll. While it’s higher than the last time the helmet was sold, it’s still very average. Interestingly, the upgrade for the helmet is an excellent 121 Strength for those willing to spend an Exotic Shard and 7,500 Glimmer.

Destiny - Crest of Alpha Lupi (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)

The Crest of Alpha Lupi is for Hunters who roll with Hand Cannons as their primary weapons and also favor their special weapon. It comes with two perks to increase the amount of ammo you can carry for both. It’s also good for team players, as the Keeper of the Pack perk will allow you to revive fallen teammates faster, be revived faster, and drop additional orbs for your teammates when you use your super ability.

The 143 Strength stat roll is average for the Crest. However, there is an upgrade available this week which bumps the Strength up to 159. Again, this jump is for those willing to spend an Exotic Shard and extra Glimmer.

Destiny - Light Beyond Nemesis (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)

Lastly, the Light Beyond Nemesis helmet for the Warlock Sunsinger sub-class is possibly the closest to a medic there is in the game. The Keeper of the Pack upgrade perk allows you to revive teammates faster and vice versa. That extra time not spent reviving fallen teammates can be crucial during tight encounter, but the Infusion perk that replenishes health when picking up Orbs of Light is extremely helpful for Crota’s End Hard Mode.

This is another average stat roll this week at 114 Strength. There’s no upgrade for this helmet, however, it’s the first time it’s been on sale in a couple of months.
