Bethenny Frankel’s Former Assistant Speaks Out: What She Learned About Success

Bethenny Frankel has shared much of her life on the small screen, including the failure of her marriage to Jason Hoppy. But she also shared the incredible journey of her building up her business with her loyal assistant, Julie Plake. Julie was the “coordinator of chaos” for Skinnygirl when Frankel first started developing the business. But on Bethenny Ever After, Julie announced that she was leaving.

Bethenny Frankel tried to recruit new assistants to help her out, but that didn’t seem to work very well. In fact, Frankel has tried switching out her assistants on several occasions, trying to find the one that works for the company. As for Plake, she is enjoying life outside of New York.

According to a new Bravo report, Bethenny Frankel‘s former assistant recently spilled the beans about her experience working for Frankel. Since leaving Skinnygirl behind, she has worked at a PR firm in Pittsburgh, and she recently got married and had a child.

“As I have grown—working for Bethenny and beyond—I define success as not as tangible. Success is a feeling that you have, not something you can touch,” Bethenny Frankel’s former assistant revealed, adding, “I now measure success by looking at what I am doing and thinking how it compares to what I really desire in life. Not just at work.”

Since giving birth in November of last year, Julie is learning to balance motherhood and a career. She has a super short maternity leave. This may be something she has learned from Bethenny. And even though the two have seen one another since Julie left New York, clearly visiting Frankel in New York is something she enjoys to do.

“I walked two miles a day [living in Manhattan] and I miss that here” she has revealed about missing New York, but adding about Pittsburgh, “Everyone is here. All my family and friends are here; it’s just great.”

As for Bethenny Frankel, she won’t be going to Pittsburgh to visit Plake anytime soon. In fact, for Valentine’s Day, Frankel is heading on a ski trip with her girlfriends, leaving her boyfriend behind. In addition, it sounds like Bethenny may be thinking about making some big moves.

According to the Inquisitr, Frankel has been hanging out with Million Dollar Listing star Fredrik Eklund. They have been hanging out over the past couple of months, possibly scoping out some hot deals for Bethenny’s new apartment.
