Judge Orders Apollo Nida’s ‘RHOA’ Paychecks To Be Garnished, Here’s Why

It’s been reported that husbands featured on the Real Housewives of Atlanta reportedly earn approximately $50,000 each season. However, Apollo Nida won’t be seeing any earnings this season, reports Radar Online. Unfortunately, the reality star’s $50,000 will serve as a payment toward his hefty restitution penalty of $1.9 million. It has been reported that a judge has ordered Real Housewives of Atlanta production company, True Entertainment, to garnish Apollo’s wages earned for the current season.

According to court documentation, True Entertainment received a formal court order with specific instructions about the garnishment.

The notice reportedly reads,

“You are herby required to withhold and retain pending further order, any property, funds, accounts, royalties, wages, monies, stock or earnings of the judgment debtor, including but not limited to any new property of which you obtain custody, control, or possession while this Writ is in effect,” the document says.

“You are further required by law to answer in writing, under oath, within ten days, after receipt of the Writ, providing the following information: Whether you have any property owned by or due to Apollo Nida, including funds, accounts, monies, stock, earning in your custody, control or possession, a description of the property and the value of the property…the amount you are holding, owe or anticipate owing to Apollo Nida.”

Apollo is currently serving an 8-year prison sentence for federal fraud and money laundering. TMZ previously reported a breakdown of Apollo’s restitution penalty, which reportedly totals more than an estimated $1.9 million. Here’s the figures:

– JP Morgan/Chase: $828,300
– IRS: $127,011
– Delta Airlines: $24,985
– State of California: $15,778
– State of Connecticut: $45,525
– State of Texas: $39,275

It has also been reported that Apollo is currently facing legal issues in addition to other issues. A couple days ago, several news outlets reported that his relationship with his estranged wife, Phaedra Parks, has only gotten worse since he’s been incarcerated. In addition to the divorce rumors, it has also been rumored that she refuses to take their two sons to see him. As previously reported on Inquisitr, she has reportedly admitted that she’s kept the children from him. She also explained why she was undecided about taking her children to see Apollo in jail.

“Because I haven’t made a decision on whether or the children will visit with Apollo, it’s making him act very erratic and angry, but at the end of the day, I don’t care how much Apollo kicks and screams or goes to the club — I will do what’s best for these children,” Phaedra said. “It’s always been my desire to raise strong black men and I don’t ever want them to think that going to jail is acceptable.”

However, neither Phaedra or Apollo have confirmed if divorce proceedings are under way.
