Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: Condition Reportedly Improving, Doctors Think She May Recover

Bobbi Kristina Brown was once considered brain dead with little chance of recovering, but now new hope has arisen with reports that the daughter of Whitney Houston is “progressing.”

The 21-year-old has been in an Atlanta hospital for the last 10 days, since being found unresponsive in a bathtub. Sources close to the family said her condition looked bleak, with doctors reportedly telling the family to prepare for the worst, but now Bobbi’s fortunes may have changed.

“She’s progressing. She’s getting better. We just ask for people to continue to pray,” said Tina Brown, the older sister of singer Bobby Brown and aunt to Bobbi Kristina.

Brown added that there is now strong hope that Bobbi Kristina Brown will recover.

“Krissi will be good. Everything will be all right,” she told Entertainment Tonight on Monday evening.

On Tuesday, Bobbi’s aunt Leolah Brown added her condition continues to improve. Leolah said that Bobbi is moving her eyes, and doctors believe she has a real chance of recovering.

As news of Bobbi’s improving condition circulated, the Brown family also struck back against reporting that claimed she was near death. The family issued a strongly worded statement calling out several publications by name.

“We support the candlelight vigil for Bobbi Kristina. The Brown family is amazed by the love and support from all that attended. However the false reports that continue to appear in print and on the internet are egregious, false and will be dealt with at an appropriate time. In particular, the false reporting of TMZ, The National Enquirer, The Atlanta Journal Constitution and the Daily Mail (UK) citing, police sources, family sources and Bobby Brown himself, will receive my attention. The desire to be ‘first’ has clouded the judgment of many reporters as they forgo accuracy. This is a criminal investigation and the integrity of that process requires silence.”

Before the statement, reports had circulated that the family planned to take Bobbi Kristina Brown off life support on Wednesday, the third anniversary of her mother Whitney Houston’s death under strangely similar circumstances. But amid the news that Bobbi is improving, the family has denied these reports, as well.
