Tamra Barney Judge Is A Grandma — ‘RHOC’ Star Welcomes First Grandchild

The day Tamra Barney Judge has been waiting for has finally arrived. The Real Housewives of Orange County star is officially a grandmother as son Ryan’s fiancée, Sarah, gives birth to baby Ava on Monday.

Barney made the announcement of the birth of her granddaughter by posting several photos on Instagram Monday afternoon, including one of a diaper with Ava’s vitals written on it.

Tamra Judge tells E! News she is very much in love with her first grandchild.

“Ava is absolutely beautiful. She has her mother’s big eyes and her dad’s chubby cheeks. We are so in love with her. Mommy and baby are both doing great.”

As fans may remember, Tamra was none too happy with Ryan and Sarah’s relationship in the beginning, although Tamra’s issue seemed to be more with the fact that Ryan had gotten engaged to someone so quickly after having just met her on Instagram. Viewers watched the RHOC star have a breakdown during the ninth season of the show after Ryan said he was moving away with his fiancée, who he had only been dating for two months.

“I’m in shock that Ryan is going to quit his job and move in with a girl he met on Instagram. Who does that?!”

However, the new grandma has come around in recent months, so much so, she has been unable to contain her excitement and had to share it with the world. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Judge has been giving fans frequent updates about her soon-to-be daughter-in-law’s pregnancy and sharing all the details about becoming a “Tam-Ma,” as she refers to herself. Even Monday, as she was at the hospital waiting for the birth of her granddaughter, the grandma-to-be could not contain her excitement and had to share photos and updates with fans.

Cast mate Heather Dubrow was the first to publicly congratulate Ava’s parents and grandma. Heather posted an Instagram photo with “It’s a girl” and the caption “Congrats to Ryan,Sarah @tamrajudge and the whole Vieth/Judge Clan on the arrival of Baby AVA! #hottestgrandmaever #RHOC.”

Tamra Barney Judge is not the only Real Housewives of Orange County star who is a grandma. She shares grandmother status with Vicki Gunvalson, who is the grandmother of two boys, Troy and Owen, born to daughter Briana and husband Ryan.

Baby Ava is Ryan Vieth’s first child and the fourth child for Sarah Rodriguez.
