If Kate Middleton is Pregnant With A Girl, Will She Name Her Diana?

Could Kate Middleton be pregnant with a girl? If so, the big question everyone is asking is whether Prince William will go there and name her after his late mum, Diana.

Princess Diana died in a tragic car accident in Paris, while being chased by paparazzi. It was later determined that the driver was drunk and also died in the accident, which killed the People’s Princess and her then-boyfriend, Dodi Fayed in August of 1997.

It is not a secret that at the time, Prince William and his brother, Prince Harry, were just getting used to the fact that her mother and father, Prince Charles, had divorced. There were rumors that she was dating and planned to marry Fayed, which would have surely been a huge scandal and embarrassment for the royals.

Additionally, Queen Elizabeth II was heavily criticized, by the media and her subjects, after Diana’s death. It appeared to those watching the sad passing of the favorite member of the family that she was a bit distant and cold in the face of such heartache.

Following the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton and her subsequent pregnancies, it has been speculated that if the couple has a girl, they will name her Diana, which is sure to enrage the Monarch. Things were always tense between Diana and the Queen, since the former was very much her own person, despite every attempt at intimidation from her husband and his parents.

Now, as Diana is not here to meet her grandchildren, William and Kate have made it abundantly clear that they also don’t let the Palace dictate the actions in their private lives and the decision of what to name their children. If Kate Middleton is pregnant with a daughter and she is named Diana, the slight won’t go unnoticed.

According to OK! magazine Prince William and Duchess Kate — who is thought to be seven-months pregnant — already know the sex of their baby and it’s a girl. A source allegedly claims that the news was confirmed from an ultrasound report and the Palace was informed after Kate’s 21-week check-up. However, according to E! News, the Palace has no information on the royals baby’s gender.

Some have observed that Kate’s baby bump sits higher than it did when she was pregnant with her firstborn, Prince George. Kate Middleton recently discussed her pregnancy with a 17-year-old and called her baby “it” according to Christian Today.

Apparently the Queen is less than happy about the news that William and Kate are thinking of naming their daughter after Diana. The late Princess of Wales, created problems for the royal family when she divorced Prince Charles amid cheating allegations on both sides and the rumors that followed her tragic death. Some conspiracy theories argue that she was murdered by MI6 or SAS, following orders from the Palace.
