A drone delivered a wedding proposal and a ring to actress Zhang Ziyi on Saturday. The actress, best known for her role in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, was surprised by the proposal that happened during her birthday party, according to First Post. The actress turned 36-years-old on Monday.
At the event, a white drone flew towards her at the party. When it stopped, her boyfriend, Wang Feng, who is a Chinese rock singer, removed the engagement ring from inside the drone and proceeded to get down on one knee to pop the question. Reports of the scene revealed the words he said in his proposal to Ziyi.
“Witnessed by all, we have experienced happiness and sorrow. I hope Ziyi can always have the happiest time. If we both are old, I can still take care of you.”
Ziyi said yes to the proposal before she started to cry. She confirmed the proposal on her Chinese social media account on Sunday with an “I do!” Feng also posted on his own social media account on Sunday, according to the Guardian.
“Thanks for giving me a perfect life — all hardships are already in the past. From here on out, we’ll grow old hand-in-hand.”

This will be the third marriage for Wang Feng. He divorced his second wife in 2013. This is Ziyi’s second engagement. Her first ended in 2010. Ziyi has appeared in several movies since the release of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon in 2000. She also appeared in Rush Hour 2, Memoirs of a Geisha, and Horsemen. Fans of the actress immediately expressed their joy over the engagement news on social media over the weekend.

In China, drones are now being used in consumer deliveries. The announcement to employ the use of drones in this manner was just made last week.
This is not the first proposal by drone. In December, a Boston man had a drone deliver an engagement ring to him on Ipswich Beach, according to CBS Boston. Andrew retrieved the ring from the drone and asked his girlfriend to marry him. Sophie said yes. The moment was caught on film and turned into a short film by Above Summit Films.
Drones are becoming more and popular in the media as well. Last week, the Inquisitr reported on the creation of a Millennium Falcon drone that went viral after the creator posted about it on Reddit. Star Wars fans loved the creation.
