WWE News: WWE Superstar Seth Rollins Is Being Removed From The World Title Picture, What’s Next For Him?

WWE Superstar Seth Rollins had quite a 2014. In 2015, he picked up right where he left off and has already given us a classic match in January alone. Now in WrestleMania season, we wonder what will become of The Architect and if he will be involved in a major storyline. Sadly, it seems that he won’t be involved in anything too major.

According to Daily Wrestling News, Rollins’ loss to Daniel Bryan on WWE RAW last week was to write him out of the WWE World Heavyweight Title picture for the time being. The idea is that by doing this, he’d be out of the mix to allow for a clean program between Brock Lesnar and whoever wins in the match between Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns at WWE Fast Lane in a few weeks.

The idea is to have Rollins take on a returning Randy Orton. Orton has been back doing live events for the last month and is expected to return to television by or right after WWE Fast Lane. He was originally written out due to an attack by Seth Rollins and The Authority back in the Fall. The story pretty much writes itself. WWE feels that this would give Rollins a big match at WrestleMania. They also feel that Seth Rollins could cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase at any time. By removing him from the title picture, they feel it’ll be more of a surprise when he finally does cash in.

All signs point to Rollins cashing in successfully. The only issue is when he will do so and on whom. Rollins will be WWE World Heavyweight Champion without much doubt. When to expect it is unknown.

Most would imagine that it would make all the sense in the world for Rollins to cash in soon, in order for him to be involved in the main event of WrestleMania. Even in a loss, he’d still be able to say he main-evented the biggest wrestling show in the world. Few have been able to do such a thing, but instead WWE will be giving us the unrealistic thought of Rollins feeling the surprise cash in for the title would be the draw for him.

WWE does not want to make it obvious, it seems. So, Rollins could always cash in at WrestleMania 31 on the winner of the World Title match. This would be unlikely, however, as WWE wants to build up Roman Reigns. Having him lose right after he won would hurt him in many ways. Although, he can say that he beat The Beast in Brock Lesnar and won his main event match before he was cashed in on, so there is a chance it could happen.

It really all depends on what WWE plans to do. When Rollins will cash in is a mystery that only WWE knows. The only certainty we have right now is that Seth Rollins will be facing Randy Orton at WrestleMania 31. Perhaps the greatest unknown in WWE today is when Rollins will cash in, so WWE certainly wants to drag it out as best they can, it seems.
