Sophia Bush Scared By GOP Candidates, Ready To Move To Canada

In what is becoming fairly common around election time, another Hollywood star is claiming that if she doesn’t get her way politically she is going to move to Canada.  Sophia Bush, the star of One Tree Hill, is the latest casualty to threaten a northern escape from America if Obama is unseated by a Republican challenger.

Speaking to Fox News Bush stated,

“I will not vote for a candidate who thinks you can ‘pray away the gay,’ I will not vote for a candidate who thinks that he has more rights to my uterus than I do, I will not vote for a candidate who thinks that it’s okay to dump toxic waste in the ocean. I’m afraid for our country that people like this (current Republican candidates) could even be thought of as the president. I live in a country where I believe all men are created equal, not just wealthy white guys. I believe all men, all women, regardless of race, gender, socioeconomic background, you deserve the same rights. If that’s not where our country is going, then I’ll leave. I don’t need to live here. I’m out! I’ll go to Canada, peace! See you later.”

She was asked if she considered running for politics herself, and she said said she had contemplated it many times but felt that politicians are mostly useless.

She campaigned heavily for Obama in 2008.  She said while there is some level of disappointment she has for the way Obama has behaved as President, she feels that the country has witnessed the man [Obama] being “broken”.

Bush remarked,

“I saw a lot of attempt at change. There are certainly some things that have let me down but again, I just feel like we’ve watched a man be broken.”
