Selena Gomez Is Dating A Guy Whose Name She Can’t Pronounce
Word around town is that Selena Gomez and Zedd (real name Anton Zaslavski) are dating. And while the two celebrities have yet to confirm it, it’s pretty clear that the two have been spending a lot of time with each other lately. Aside from appearing together at last month’s Golden Globes, Selena Gomez and Zedd have also been working on music together. Zedd was even seen hanging out with Selena on the set of her new movie. But if they are indeed dating, it looks like Selena Gomez has to step up her game. After all, she has yet to pronounce her rumored boyfriend’s last name properly.

In an Instagram post that has since been deleted, Gomez and a friend tried to pronounce Zedd’s last name with varying results. One celebrity that can probably relate to Selena Gomez’s plight is Miley Cyrus. In a recent interview with Good Morning America, Miley revealed that she’s still having a hard time spelling boyfriend Patrick Schwarzenegger’s last name.
Just last year, Selena Gomez was still being hounded by questions about her troubled relationship with then-boyfriend Justin Bieber. “Everybody wants to form their own opinions anyway. I think the biggest problem I had this year — even with [Justin] and on his side — is identity,” she told Ryan Seacrest late last year.
“I was trying to figure out what I’m doing, and that was the first time I was constantly being kicked down for doing that. When I didn’t know, I just wanted to say, ‘This is what I want, this is where I am in my professional life, things changed in my personal life, things changed in my heart — everything.’ And people just thought, ‘Alright, this is what we think.'”
Selena Gomez added, “And yeah, I made some decisions that weren’t great as well, and so did he and that’s why we went through all that to only make us better. And he has heard [the song] and he has seen the video, and it’s something that I feel like girls need hear, and it’s something I’m willing to share with people.”
It was around this time that Selena Gomez released the single “The Heart Wants What It Wants,” which seems to be inspired by her relationship with Justin. She told Seacrest that the pop superstar has heard the song and liked it.
“He thought it was beautiful,” Gomez said. “I think it was really hard.”
With the recent rumors about her relationship with Zedd, it looks like Selena has finally moved on.
