What Did Lenny Kravitz’s Daughter Think Of Katy Perry Grinding Up On Her Father?

Being Lenny Kravitz’s daughter sounds like it would be pretty hard. After all, whenever Lenny makes an appearance somewhere, there seems to be a resounding sound of fans sighing at the rocker’s uncontrollable swag. In other words, Zoe Kravitz has a pretty charming dad.

Everyone got to experience just how charming her father was when he hit the stage at the Super Bowl halftime show with Katy Perry. One highlight we’re sure Kravitz’s daughter didn’t appreciate was seeing her dad grind up on Katy Perry. Most of Lenny’s portion of the halftime show was when the two sang “I Kissed A Girl,” complete with suggestive dance moves.

Fortunately, Zoe Kravitz seems to have a really good sense of humor about it all, because she took to Instagram to post a meme someone made. The photo is a split screen of Katy and Lenny shaking it out, and on the bottom is a still of Zoe looking terrified from the film Divergent. The caption? A simple “Dad?”

Back in 2011, when Zoe Kravitz was first making moves as a budding actress, she revealed that she was just like any teen growing up and was embarrassed by father Lenny and mother Lisa Bonet.

“I used to be a little embarrassed by how [my mom] and my dad would dress, but now I steal their clothes all the time. My dad has totally taken my Cat Stevens T-shirt, but It’s OK I have his Black Flag one and that’s amazing.”

She also revealed that although her parents were both eccentric artists, she grew up in a very strict household.

“My dad was brought up very old school, very strict — ‘Yes ma’am, yes sir.’ So he’s wearing leather pants and a boa, but he would be like, ‘Did you do your chores today?’ Or ‘That dress is too short!’ Seriously, no joke.”

She continued, “I had chores, I had an allowance — ‘Yes there’s a party going on with Mick Jagger and some models but it’s your bedtime.’ ”

As for what she thinks about her mother? Kravitz said, “She walked away from being famous because she didn’t really care about it. She is the most true artist I have met. She doesn’t change for anybody. I admire her so much — and the fact that she’s my mom is just so cool!”
