Kerry Washington Posts ‘InStyle’ Magazine Cover On Instagram — Fans Hate The Photoshop Job, Lighter Skin
Well, it was a simple gesture that Kerry Washington performed when she posted for her latest InStyle magazine cover photo to Instagram. The Kerry Washington Instagram account included a description of how much Washington felt honored to be placed on their cover.
“I’m THRILLED to share with you all that I’m on the cover of this year’s March @instylemagazine! Can’t wait for you guys to see it and read it! So honored. And crazy excited.”
Fans, however, weren’t crazy excited about seeing Kerry look virtually unrecognizable on the magazine’s cover. Kerry Washington’s latest magazine cover had fans commenting pretty quickly on Instagram that the photo of Kerry made her look like she was the victim of way too much Photoshop manipulation, reported Cosmopolitan. Washington was compared to every actress from Helen Mirren to Sandra Bullock by her Instagram fans, who made their displeasure in the cover photo pretty apparent. Not only did they post their unhappiness over the photo on the official Kerry Washington Instagram account, fans of Kerry also gave InStyle quite of few pieces of their minds as well, on InStyle‘s Instagram account.

It’s not the first time a magazine has come under fire for how they’ve portrayed Washington, but for her part, Kerry Washington chose to dish on Olivia Pope’s style via People StyleWatch –– instead of getting caught up in further drama over the cover photo. Washington has been known to stay mum on controversial rumors, such as any that have surrounded Kerry’s marriage, as reported by the Inquisitr.
