Bruce Jenner Is In ‘Intense Therapy’ As Part Of His Transition

Bruce Jenner reportedly underwent “intense therapy” to help him sort out his feelings of wanting to become a woman. According to Radar Online, the former Olympian was having an extremely hard time adjusting to the life that he knew he needed to. He also was living with this secret, and therapy really helped get him through some of the toughest times.

“The therapy was intense, and continues to be a part of the transition. Bruce has embraced it and feels liberated finally to begin the life meant to be for him. The support just the last few weeks has been tremendous and Bruce has said if he had known the reception would have been so positive, he could have done it much sooner. Bruce also wants to help other people dealing with gender identity. For so long he felt ashamed of who he was, and tried to change. If he can help one other person by doing this, well that would be awesome.”

Bruce Jenner has allegedly made the decision to become a woman after years of struggling with his identity. While the decision wasn’t an easy one, People Magazine reports that Jenner’s family has been extremely supportive. Each of Bruce’s kids needed to take the time to “process” the information, but have all come around. Many say that Bruce is “finally happy,” and that this is something that he has wanted to do for a long time. The road hasn’t been an easy one, but it’s what Bruce really wants at this point.

“Bruce is continuing to see his therapist because there is a lot going on in his life with going public. The therapy has truly been a miracle for Bruce and he is so grateful for it. He just wants to handle this in the next few weeks with dignity and respect.”

Bruce Jenner’s journey is going to be documented on a new reality series, rumored to be airing on E! in May or June. It’s unknown how much will be shown on the show, but some sources say that the days leading up to his gender reassignment surgery will be filmed. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Bruce is also filming a sit-down interview with Diane Sawyer, which will also air in May. The reality star and father of five is said to be filming parts of said interview as early as this week.
