Amazon pops a few surprises in its top 10 best selling games lists
Next to Valve’s Steam games platform the biggest seller of games, both digitally and physical media, would have to be Amazon so when they release their top sellers list everyone in the business pays attention.
While some of the names on the lists, which is divided in to the top 10 digital sales and the top 10 physical media sales, may not come as much of a surprise there were a couple that caught biz watchers off-guard a little bit. While Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3; which was the top grossing video game to date, rocked the physical media sales for Amazon it barley budged on the digital download list.
As for the top selling digital download – well that went to Deus Ex: Human Revolution (an awesome game by the way) and the big winner when it came to digital downloads was Electronic Arts which scored with 50% of the top 10 digital titles.
The big loser on the lists – Nintendo, who didn’t have a single title show up on either of the lists.

I can see at least three of the digital download titles that got some of my money last year although it wasn’t through Amazon but rather Steam.
