Jimmy Fallon’s “Tebowie” Video Goes Viral

Posted: January 14, 2012

jimmy-fallons-tebowie-video-david-bowie-tim-tebowIt seems like everyone is jumping in on the Tim Tebow song/spoof bandwagon and now you can add Jimmy Fallon to the list.

On Thursday (Jan. 12) night’s episode of his popular evening talk show, Fallon, known for his spot-on impersonations of, among many others, Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen, took on Ziggy Stardust-era David Bowie for a performance that might be topped only by his “History of Rap.”

With spiked back hair and sparkly platform boots straight from 1972′s closet, Fallon revamps Bowie’s classic song “Space Oddity” into a lyrical conversation between Jesus Christ and Tim Tebow; or, as Steve Higgins announced it, “Tim Tebow and David Bowie together as one. Ladies and gentlemen: TeBowie.”

“Tim Tebow to Jesus Christ…Can’t win by myself, but with your help I might,” Fallon sings.

Check out Jimmy Fallon’s Tebowie song in the video below and let us know what you think. Although the song is done in good-humor (Fallon is rarely mean-spirited), do you find it offensive?

Tim Tebow and the Broncos face the Patriots on Saturday night at 8pm in the AFC semifinals.

  1. I'm a Christian, and I did not find this offensive. I think it's awesome how the song ends with Fallon inviting everyone to T-Bow. Amen! :)

  4. An absolute HOOT…excellent.

  5. I think it was done in fun, however I never think that it's proper to make jokes about God or Jesus.Like it or not Tim Tebow is a good QB and is going to get better,on and off the field. It was a cute muse but it just seems like people have lost respect for our Lord and Savior. We should hold the name of Jesus in the highest regard. I'm glad that there is someone like Tim Tebow out there in the public view and that he is not ashamed to be called a christian. I hope and pray that there will be more roll models like him in the future, I wouldn't mind my own sons looking up to him as a roll model.

  6. This is sooo funny not offensive at all.
