‘Power Rangers’ Ricardo Medina Jr. Not Charged In Roommate’s Death
Former Power Rangers actor Ricardo Medina. Jr., was previously arrested on murder charges after his roommate was stabbed and died over the weekend. As of Tuesday, the former Power Ranger is no longer facing charges in his roommate’s death.
According to NBC Los Angeles, prosecutors have decided not to file charges against Ricardo Medina, Jr., known as one of the Red Rangers on the popular show, Power Rangers.
ABC News went on to report that the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office said Tuesday that prosecutors have asked Sheriff’s Investigators for further investigation into the weekend stabbing of Medina’s roommate, who has been identified as Joshua Sutter.
According to an earlier report by the Inquisitr, the former Power Rangers star was arrested by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies on Saturday, January 31, after a fight between him and Sutter turned bloody.
The stabbing reportedly took place after the two got into a heated argument in their home, located in Palmdale. The argument reportedly began to turn heated, to the point where Medina and his girlfriend went and took shelter in his bedroom. It wasn’t long before Sutter reportedly forced his way through the door and Medina stabbed him in the abdomen with a sword that he kept in the room.
After Medina reportedly stabbed Sutter, he called 911 and waited for first responders. According to the Inquisitr, Sutter was taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Once news broke of the murder, fans took to social media to express their shock over the news.
