Teresa And Joe Giudice Receive ‘Special & Unusual’ Treatment Behind Bars

Teresa and Joe Giudice are reportedly receiving special treatment with their prison sentences. According to a new report, The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars got lucky when their judge allowed them to serve their prison terms separately.

“This type of arrangement is practically unheard of,” Beatrice Codianni, a former inmate at Danbury Federal Prison in Connecticut, revealed to Radar Online on February 3. “Most of the time when there are people like Teresa and Joe, a married couple both convicted of committing a federal crime, they would have to go in at the same time.”

In October, Teresa and Joe Giudice, parents fo Gia, 13, Gabriella, 9, Milania, 8, and Audriana, 5, were sentenced for charges of bank and wire fraud. Teresa received 15 months behind bars, and Joe was dealt a 41-month sentence.

“This is a special and extremely unusual arrangement and was given to them not because of their kids, but more because they are famous. Usually you both go. If you don’t have anyone taking care of the kids, they would go into foster care and after seventeen months, the kids would be put up for adoption. It is very difficult for people to comprehend, but the courts do not usually care how many kids you have or where you come from.”

During their sentencing, Teresa and Joe Giudice’s judge not only allowed the pair to serve their terms one after the other, but also allowed Teresa to wait until after the holidays to turn herself in.

“Teresa and Joe are so lucky because at least she knows that her kids are in good hands, that he is taking care of them and that he will be bringing her girls to see her while she is in. And vise-versa. Most married couples who have ever been in their situation were not so lucky, but they were also not famous.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Teresa has been spending a lot of time in the prison’s gym, in hopes at getting into better shape.

“She’s getting in the best shape of her life,” an insider told Us Weekly last month. “Every night she hits the gym and has been asking friends to send her workout videos.”

As for what Teresa will be doing when she leaves prison early next year, the magazine’s source claimed she was writing a book, among other things.

“[Teresa] writes down everything she wants to do when she gets out. She hopes to land the cover of a magazine and get her own cooking show.”

Teresa and Joe Giudice’s future with The Real Housewives of New Jersey remains uncertain.
